So…. With UIL contest last Thursday and the contest in San Antonio, the Keller High School Choirs have won a total of 13 trophies/plaques.

Choir News-2010 Texas All-State Results
The competition for membership into the Texas All-State Choir is a long and arduous process. 56 KHS choir students competed in the 1st round that took place in September. After the 2nd round in October and the 3rd round in November, there were 9 KHS singers left. The Keller High School Choir Department is proud to announce that 5 of those singers won a place in the All-State Choir in the 4th and final round that took place Saturday (January 9th) in Abilene.

Thank you to all of our Choir students on another successful year performing in our holiday Madrigal program! Many thanks to Co-Chairs Deb Reed and Brenda White and all of the parent and friend volunteers who spent so many hours preparing for 2 magical evenings. And a special thank you to Mrs. King and Mr. Powell for all of their hard work, time, and effort put forth to make this program such a treat to all in attendance. If you missed the opportunity to be a part of this program, make plans now to take part next year.

A special Thank You to all that participated in the scholarship concert, Music of the Masters! It was a truly wonderful experience! Each choir did a fantastic job as well as the finale which included members of our community.

Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at 6:30 pm in the KHS Commons the KHS Choirs will perform at the "Prelude to Romance" Concert and Dessert Night. This concert features a raffle of products and services provided by area businesses, parents and patrons. If you would be interested in donating to this concert, please contact Andrea Pollock - 817-337-8935 (home) or 817-689-3621 (cell) to arrange the pick up of a donation.
